Baume& Mercier was founded in 1830 by Baume family from Western Switzerland. After they began collaboration with Geneva jeweler Paul Mercier in 1918 and after the first wave of popularity of wristwatches, company Baume & Mercier approved itself as a manufacturer of high quality sports chronographs.
