Glashutte Original – A German Representative of Swiss Watchmaking

One of the prestigious places in the watchmaking industry is owned by Glashutte. The story of the brand began in 1869 when it was founded by Robert Muhle. The year of Glashutte rebirth is considered to be the 1994, when Hans-Jurgen Muhle was in its head. The company was renamed to Glashutte Original. It included automatic watches that had 3 hands as well as an automatic chronograph and a third watch which was a manual wind chronometer.

Soon, in 2000, the brand became a component of the Swatch Group. As a member of this group the company deals mainly with innovations in designing the timepieces.

Today the company's lines of watches include PanoDate series, and the famous collections of Sport Evolution and Star.
