In 1950 the brand presented Mareograph-Seafarer – wristwatches with stop watch, chronograph and tide indicator.
Some time later in 1955 Tag Heuer presented Twin-Time model that was a self-winding watch with second time zone indicator.
In 1963 the company issued a new model Carrera dedicated to the legendary auto race Carrera Panamericana. Watches from this collection have 39 mm case that is made out of stainless steel and are protected with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Luminous dots and hand-fitted hour markers provide better readability. Today the design of Carrera is recognized as classic design of a chronograph.
In 1969 the company introduced Monaco model. This nice model was the world’s first chronograph with square case. This watch amazed everyone who likes complicated and stylishly designed watches. Today one of the most beautiful variations of Monaco is a model with blue dial, red-orange hands and blue bracelet. This model is one of the favorite chronographs of Elton John.
Also in 1969 Tag Heuer presented the Chronomatic – the first automatic chronograph with micro-rotor. Some time later two other models with this function were issued: the Autavia and a new edition of Carrera.
In 1975 Tag Heuer presented Microsplit that was the world’s first pocket-sized LCD quartz stopwatch.
In 1982 the company launched new 2000 series that included watches with 6 important features: luminous hands, double safety clasps, sapphire crystal, water-resistance at the depth of 200 meters, screw-in crown and unidirectional turning bezel.
In 1999 Tag Heuer presented one more series – Link – the collection that included perfect sports watches that amazed by their peculiar design. The collection was refreshed in 2005.
Tag Heuer issues watches called to the honor of famous sportsmen. For instance chronograph Targa Florio was created to the honor of Juan Manuel Fangio who became famous after Sicily motor rally Targa Florio in 1953. By the way Fangio won the race The Carrera Panamericana Mexico that inspired watch makers from Tag Heuer to create Carrera chronograph. Also there is chronograph Link Senna that was issued to the honor of Ayrton Senna - a watch that features facsimile of the famous driver.
