Alain Silberstein and the Scout Movement 100th Anniversary

Alain Silberstein replica watch About the watch maker
Alain Silberstein is a unique name on the watch making market. His biography has been rather unusual for a watch maker. He was a Parisian interior architect and a designer by profession when he decided to become a watch-architect (so he calls himself). And that was not the only unusual thing about him.

When the Japanese battery watches were taking over the watch market he decided to stick to the mechanical watches. This way he joined the very restricted club of Swiss manufacturers that brought back this kind of watches. In less than 20 years Alain Silberstein has found his own place among the top names in horology.

Now read something even more surprising, something that you surely did not know - Alain Silberstein is a dedicated and active Scout member. Isn’t that a surprising fact about a French citizen?

Alain Silberstein and the Scout watch collection
Alain Silberstein's love for Scout movement goes as far as he signed a partnership agreement with The World Organization of the Scout Movement to create a unique “Scout” watch collection. This idea was inspired by the fact that the Scout Movement is celebrating its Centenary in 2007.

This agreement was signed in Geneva on March 1st, 2006 by Dr Eduardo Missoni, General Secretary of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, and Mme Sylvie Silberstein, CEO of La Fabrique de Besancon, S.A (the Alain Silberstein manufactory).

The agreement had obliged Alain Silberstein to certain requirements. First of all he was commissioned to create a watch collection “Scout 2007”, that would commemorate the Centenary of the Scout Movement in 2007. Each watch would include the emblem of the World Scout Movement as well as the signature of Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scout Movement (that means extra work for every Alain Silberstein worker).

The royalties from each sold watch will be paid to the World Scout Bureau. This money should go to the “Scouts of the World” program. All these are Alain Silberstein's obligations; there was nothing said about World Organization of the Scout Movement’s obligations. That’s not a very fair deal for any businessman!

As a matter of fact, the collection was already made. It includes 4 different watches. On the watch case you can easily see the Scout emblem and the signature too. One of them has a dove (the symbol of peace) on it. Otherwise the watches do not differ too much from the Alain Silberstein watches. The watch names were taken from the maker’s collection, too. There are a Tourballion, Rondo, Klub and Pikto watches. As any Alain Silberstein collection this one is also limited.

Alain Silberstein replica watch is the closest you can get to the real designer timepiece.

Alain Silberstein replica watch is a genuine copy of the brand production and that means that Alain Silberstein replica watch has the same look, the same mechanism and so on.

Wearing our Alain Silberstein replica watch you will feel "touching the sky".
