These two owners have also created the actual name of the company – "Vacheron et Constantin".

Another person to influence the history of the brand was Georges-Auguste Leschot, who joined the company in 1839 as a production supervisor. His ingenious mind, overwhelmed by bright ideas, has influenced tremendously the flow of the company's development. Actually, he didn't change only the company's philosophy and the history of the Vacheron Constantin, but he also influenced the whole watch-making industry worldwide.

Everything Good Will Be Awarded
During their long history the Vacheron Constantin watches have been awarded a great number of prizes in most different categories. For example, in 1872 the Geneva Observatory has started a precision contest among the watch-making companies and it was the first prize won by the Vacheron Constantin watches. After that there were many, many other prizes!
