New Limited Edition Watches from Corum

Recently and namely last week, Corum has presented two new models of wrist watches, issued in a limited edition of 100/40 and 25 pieces each. The two watches are the Classical Skylight and Classical Tourbillon Midnight.

Corum Classical Skylight Squelette

The first watch - Corum Classical Skylight - was produced in a two limited editions series of 100 and 40 pieces, depending on the material it was made of.

The Skylight is an exceptional timepiece made of precious metals (both editions). The watch features a semi-skeletonized dial, i.e. the dial has a decentralized round opening closer to 12 o'clock. This opening and the back of the watch reveal the magical movements of this limited edition watch to its wearer.

The 42 mm case is made in two versions: the first version features 18 karat white gold and the second version - 18 karat rose gold, in 100 and 40 pieces respectively. The version made of white gold has also the rim of the case embellished with diamonds. The folding clasp on the crocodile leather strap is also made of white or rose gold to correspond to the material of the case itself.

The case houses a manual movement, based on the caliber CO-055. The distinctive feature of this caliber is that it is hand-engraved.

Corum Classical Tourbillon Midnight

The Corum Classical Skylight Squelette was not the sole novelty from Corum that week. It has been presented along with the Classical Tourbillon Midnight.

As well as the Skylight Squelette, the Midnight Tourbillon hasn't been put under mass production either. It is a limited edition watch, but unlike the Skylight model, only 25 pieces of this timepiece were assembled. The 42 mm case of this watch was made of the most precious of metals - platinum. It has also double sapphire crystals.

The face features an exclusive design of the dial, which has the tourbillon complication at the standard 6 o'clock a few wheels of different sizes stretching from 12 to 3 o'clock. The wearer can also see a few screws scattered around the dial. The Roman hour markers are situated on the fringe of the case.

This massive platinum case is equipped with a standard Corum winding crown having the Corum emblem on it. The watch is powered by a movement with a manual winding, which is based on the Corum caliber CO-372. This caliber features the tourbillon complication and provides a long ticking autonomy of 90 hours.

The crocodile leather strap is equipped with an 18 karat white gold folding clasp.

With this collection of limited edition watches Corum has given the collectors something to hunt. The collectors, who are likely to seek something exclusive, will surely pay attention to these timepieces. The fact that they were assembled in limited edition already means that not every watch lover will be able to enjoy one of these dials in his collector's room. In addition these watches are really amazing timepieces, which put a magical spell of time on every connoisseur.
